THE NATION OF MALI
Mali is a landlocked nation in West Africa that has faced years of political instability, including military coups and a prolonged jihadist insurgency since 2012. Armed groups such as JNIM (Jama’at Nusrat al-Islam wal-Muslimin) and ISGS continue to affect security, particularly in central and northern regions, where rural communities remain most vulnerable.
Despite a strong history of Christian missionary engagement, ongoing insecurity has significantly limited access to many unreached areas and forced the withdrawal of several missionaries from high-risk regions.
Yet, in the midst of pressure and uncertainty, the Church in Mali remains present. Though tested, it is not extinguished, and believers continue to demonstrate resilience, faith, and endurance in difficult conditions.

PRAYER POINTS
Pray for the Church in Mali, that she would be strengthened in faith, united in purpose, and courageous in witness despite the rising tide of islamist violence. (Matthew 16:18)
Pray for peace in the central and northern regions of Mali, for the defeat of jihadist groups and the restoration of safety to communities. (Psalm 46:9)
Pray for the Tuareg and Fulani peoples in Mali, two significant UPGs who remain largely unreached. Ask God to raise up indigenous missionaries to these communities. (Romans 10:14
Pray for the transitional government of Mali, for wisdom, integrity, and policies that protect the freedom of religion and promote justice. (1 Timothy 2:1-2)
